On the evening
of July 15, 2008, at the 4-Day NYS Empire State Partnership's SUMMER SEMINAR '08 held on the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, Summer Seminar ’08 attendees were treated to performances
by students from several ESP arts partnerships. First up was The C.A.C., a hip hop trio arising from the Partnership
of 79M, a special needs high school in Manhattan, with InCollaboration Incorporated. The trio performed two original
rap numbers before a very appreciative and enthusiastic audience. Click on the link directly below to catch this well-received

Creative Minds of the 21st Century:
An Exhibition of Student
and Educator Art curated by Stephanie Pereira Fourteen
ESP partnerships exhibited art work by students in the show “Creative Minds of the 21st Century,” hosted by the
Hillwood Art Museum July 13 – 17, 2008. Art works were clustered by school groups and the displays were augmented
by support materials-- such as lesson plans, student journals and preliminary sketches -- that illuminated the student artists’
creative processes. As exhibit curator Stephanie Pereira wrote, "In the 21st Century, classroom roles have
been re-mixed: students are teaching students; artists, scientists and specialists are key educational partners; learning
units are thematic and project-based. Classrooms have become globalized and in place of the three "R's", we
now have Literacy, Numeracy and Creativity."
